What type of cdrom do you have. Is it recognized at boot time? (look
in dmesg or /var/log/messages).

If it's SCSI then it should be /dev/cd0c

This is my entry in /etc/fstab
/dev/cd0c                       /cdrom          cd9660  ro,noauto 0 0

If it's ATAPI, then the device would be /dev/wcd0c
