Doh, my bad, should have read cvs-all more closely today, I was to much
excited by David E. O'Brien MFCathon ;)

The only left issue is further card removal that isn't seen by kernel. 

If this issue is such a mess to solve, I should get a DSL line in late
September and then could setup a account for you on the box (I can't
send it to you as it's my work companion).
