my bet is that their legal team has, somewhere,
  built in a "right of refusal", so to speak,
  just to cover the possibility that
  the winner's favorite charity is "inappropriate"
  for some reason [ their image, maybe? ];
  e. g., al qaeda.

this is frequently done [ and infrequently trumpeted ].

delicious idea, 'though.
