Hmm, maybe you want to try expect?  I've never tried it with rz/sz,
but expect acts really well with a lot of other programs.


set fd [open /dev/cuaa1 r+]
stty -f /dev/cuaa1 38400 raw
spawn -open $fd

... do login stuff ...
... get to patch location ...

exec rz
exit 0
