Yes I know it says that. The /var/spool/mail directory is not built.

So the question is why? Is there something in the main.cf file which
has to be on?

That's why I posted the main.cf file that is provided by the postfix
install with the changes for my domain name for people to look at.

it says it can't write the file barbisch in the directory /var/spool/mail

check if this directory is writable for postfix (and if it even exsists)
also check the file rights.
