Hello! I am curious about the special (count down numbers) at shutdown / sync. Those nubmers is like 8 8 8 8 2 1 2 1 0 0 0 0. Actually what do those numbers mean? Those numbers show you how many buffers have to be synced until the system is ready to finally shut down and power off. This makes sure no pending hard disk operations will be "left and forgotten in memory". The important text displayed prior to the numbers is: Syncing disks, buffers remaining...
