I have FreeBSD 4.6 and I've got a soundblaster pci 64 soundcard (device pcm) which is detected fine. FreeBSD Audio Driver (newpcm) Installed devices: pcm0: at io 0xcc00 irq 10 (1p/1r/0v channels duplex) and I've done cd /dev ; sh MAKEDEV snd0 but when I goto play mp3's or wavs, or any sound it just produces this weird static noise, like there is a ton of line interference :-( any suggestions?
