This is a multi-part message in MIME format. ------=_NextPart_000_0001_01C240BB.539E9900 Content-Type: text/plain; charset="us-ascii" Content-Transfer-Encoding: 7bit G'day I'm not to sure if I should be posting this here, but here goes anyhow! I have FreeBSD 4.6 and I've got a soundblaster pci 64 soundcard (device pcm) which is detected fine. FreeBSD Audio Driver (newpcm) Installed devices: pcm0: <AudioPCI ES1373-8> at io 0xcc00 irq 10 (1p/1r/0v channels duplex) and I've done cd /dev ; sh MAKEDEV snd0 but when I goto play mp3's or wavs, or any sound it just produces this weird static noise, like there is a ton of line interference :-( any suggestions? Cheers Angus Swendson ------=_NextPart_000_0001_01C240BB.539E9900 Content-Type: text/html; charset="us-ascii" Content-Transfer-Encoding: quoted-printable

<META HTTP-EQUIV=3D"Content-Type" CONTENT=3D"text/html; = charset=3Dus-ascii"> <meta name=3DGenerator content=3D"Microsoft Word 10 (filtered)">

<span = style=3D'font-size:10.0pt; font-family:Arial'>G’day

<span = style=3D'font-size:10.0pt; font-family:Arial'>

<span = style=3D'font-size:10.0pt; font-family:Arial'> = I’m not to sure if I should be posting this here, but here goes = anyhow!

<span = style=3D'font-size:10.0pt; font-family:Arial'>

<span = style=3D'font-size:10.0pt; font-family:Arial'>I have FreeBSD 4.6 and I’ve got a soundblaster = pci 64 soundcard (device pcm) which is detected fine…

<span = style=3D'font-size:10.0pt; font-family:Arial'>

<span = style=3D'font-size:10.0pt; font-family:Arial'>FreeBSD Audio Driver (newpcm)

<span = style=3D'font-size:10.0pt; font-family:Arial'>Installed devices:

<span = style=3D'font-size:10.0pt; font-family:Arial'>pcm0: <AudioPCI ES1373-8> at io 0xcc00 irq 10 = (1p/1r/0v channels duplex)

<span = style=3D'font-size:10.0pt; font-family:Arial'>

<span = style=3D'font-size:10.0pt; font-family:Arial'>and I’ve done cd /dev ; sh MAKEDEV = snd0

<span = style=3D'font-size:10.0pt; font-family:Arial'>

<span = style=3D'font-size:10.0pt; font-family:Arial'>but when I goto play mp3’s or wavs, or any = sound it just produces this weird static noise, like there is a ton of line = interference <span = style=3D'font-size:10.0pt; font-family:Wingdings'>L

<span = style=3D'font-size:10.0pt; font-family:Arial'>

<span = style=3D'font-size:10.0pt; font-family:Arial'>any suggestions?

<span = style=3D'font-size:10.0pt; font-family:Arial'>

<span = style=3D'font-size:10.0pt; font-family:Arial'>Cheers

<span = style=3D'font-size:10.0pt; font-family:Arial'>

<span = style=3D'font-size:10.0pt; font-family:Arial'> = Angus Swendson

<span = style=3D'font-size:10.0pt; font-family:Arial'>

<span = style=3D'font-size:10.0pt; font-family:Arial'>

<span = style=3D'font-size:10.0pt; font-family:Arial'>

------=_NextPart_000_0001_01C240BB.539E9900-- To Unsubscribe: send mail to majordomo@FreeBSD.org with "unsubscribe freebsd-questions" in the body of the message
