I've searched the archives and only seen similar questions with no
answers (a bad sign).  Has anyone else used FreeBSD (4.3 here) with an
NEC Versa 6030x or similar laptop?

I can't seem to get its pccard/pcmcia slots to work.  The kernel
prints the 'pccard inserted in slot X' message continually (looks like
about once a second) after one is inserted, but pccardd can't read the
card info, it reports (None),(None).  pccardc can't see it either (no
surprise).

Any ideas?  win95 and linux work fine on the system but i was hoping
to have a FreeBSD box.
