I don't think anything should be moved, nor "chattiness" removed. It's a great convenience, to find the examples right in the config file, and one of the great things about FreeBSD. Maybe just these comments should be marked in some special way (like #> instead of just #), and then the mergemaster could simply take the whole section marked as such and replace it with the section from the new version. -SB
