(hint! hint!) What about a contrib, but left out of the parent's Makefile, instead? I am already running it in that form w/o problems. (But I don't have the gear to test all the clocks. That way it would be in place and easy for those who want it. BTW, I advocate the same for dhcp2. I had to move it to "contrib" status to fold it into my dhcp-configured startup.
