The digression about the i860 was interesting, but let's get back to the topic at hand. So far, I've seen no movement toward development of a FreeBSD port for the IA64, even though Intel has now announced that hardware samples will begin to ship to vendors in Q3. Ports of Linux are already underway. Will FreeBSD be left behind?
