FreeBSD ootws.ca 9.0-RELEASE-p3 FreeBSD 9.0-RELEASE-p3 #0: Tue Jun 12 02:52:29 UTC 2012 root@amd64-builder.daemonology.net:/usr/obj/usr/src/sys/GENERIC amd64
>Description:
The problem is that Horde Groupware /usr/ports/deskutils/horde-groupware and /usr/ports/mail/horde-webmail are conflicting when certain ports that are intended for Groupware are required (such as horde-imp).

When Horde Groupware is installed as well as horde-imp, it conflicts a bunch of pear ports installed which are needed for Horde Groupware.

Horde Webmail doesn't offer the extended functionality to that of Horde Groupware which includes imp and other ports, but if they are installed, the ports for pear and Horde Groupware will not update because they complain about installing files into the same paths as imp and other pear ports used for Horde Groupware. This needs to be fixed so that Horde Groupware can use these ports which have pear dependencies which in turn will also not update if imp and other ports for Horde Groupware are installed.

One is a meta-port and one is not, but ports that should be usable between both software ports shouldn't conflict. These same ports which can be used in either the Webmail or Groupware should be useable by both ports not just one. The only time they should conflict is if attempts to install both Horde Webmail and Horde Groupware while the one of them is already installed.
>How-To-Repeat:
The problem is very easy to repeat. Simply install horde-webmail, all the required pear ports, and update with portmaster or portupgrade whichever you prefer. Then, deinstall it and attempt installation of horde-groupware. Install imp and other ports the horde-groupware port should support. Attempt a port update of horde-groupware and you fill find it does not want to update the horde nor pear ports that are installed for horde-groupware.
