I screwed up my kernel so I tried to boot with kernel.GENERIC
on my machine with an NCR and HP 2GB drives. It is now giving me
"Overlapped commands attempted, unable to mount root partition"

How do I fix this? I read on the archives the stuff about
tags, but in order to remove tags I need to install an appropriate
kernel, but the kernel on the standard boot floppy has this tags
problem, so it can't read the disk.
