the code "\e[3~" is for vt100 emulation. your TERM is set to pc25.  use
"\C-?": delete-char instead.

also if you type Ctrl-v followed by any key bash will show you that
key's code.

you may also want to look at the "Consistent BackSpace and Delete
Configuration" page by Anne Baretta
http://www.ibbnet.org/~anne/keyboard.html  It is very Linux specific but
serves as a good guideline on the subject.
