Well, that's why I asked.

I saw a bunch of things that *might* play MP3s, but WHAT to use, and what's
out there and actually *works*, is another matter.

(Yes, I have a "ports" tree :-)

I'll check it out.

(That might be the perfect excuse to put a second processor in my primary
server box here at the house :-)
