ACPI is also needed on ia64 but it is broken as a module there, and these extras do not apply on ia64 (I don't believe there exist any ia64 laptops but I may be mistaken). I think a more careful approach should be taken instead: 1) Determine which of these modules makes sense to to have on both i386 and amd64. Repocopy the respective manpages to a MI directory but still install them only on i386 and amd64 (so the manpages match the installed modules). 2) Move the i386-only extras from sys/conf/files to sys/conf/files.i386.
