If you find one then it would be simple to use CUPS. Umm, I may be wrong here, but I thought the absolute minimum to get any printer working (in cups, or in any printing system whatever) was a way to get a page description language translator working (ghostscript is a good example of what I'm referring to). If you don't have a PPD, you can make one yourself, I've done that, but you can't fake out the PDL translator, right? Maybe, you meant that if you have a PPD, the chances of having that PDL translator are very, very good, is that it?
