what is your set up ? what terminal windows are you running ?
is this on a virtual terminal ? what is your TERM value ?

TERM=cons25l1 if tty is console or ttyv*
TERM=xterm-color under gnome-terminal

LSCOLORS=6x5x05012x03021x3x0675 export LSCOLORS
