I've been working on a number of ports recently and have noticed a couple of small spelling errors: 1. in the handbook (in the "Making a port yourself" section) it reads: As mentioned above, the default target to call when a dependency is required is DEPENDS_TARGET. It defaults to install. This is a user variable; is is never defined in a port's Makefile. If your port needs a special way to handle a dependency, use the :target part of the *_DEPENDS variables instead of redefining DEPENDS_TARGET. obviously, it should read "it is never defined..." ^^ 2. the other is in a port itself I was using for reference: /usr/ports/databases/mysql322-server; the Makefile reads: @${ECHO} "Sorry, native FreeBSD threads (libc_r) in 2.2-branch" @${ECHO} "are still to buggy to use with mysql." @${ECHO} "Using mit-pthreads." presumable it should read "still too buggy..." ^^^ Don't mean to be a pest, just thought someone might want to help us FreeBSD'ers look a little more intelligent. ;) ~kbyanc@posi.net~ FreeBSD - The Power To Serve - http://www.freebsd.org/ Join Team FreeBSD - http://www.posi.net/freebsd/Team-FreeBSD/ To Unsubscribe: send mail to majordomo@FreeBSD.org with "unsubscribe freebsd-doc" in the body of the message
