I've been reading the handbook, and installed FreeBSD 4.7 successfully. Now
I'm trying to understand the file system structure.
On page 101 for example, it shows the directory and description. In the
descriptions there are numbers enclosed in parentheses.
What do these mean? I can't find an explanation anywhere...

example (pg 101)

Directory Description

/dev/ Device nodes; see intro (4)
