Although I can open .xls files, if I try to edit a cell, scalc crashes right away and then goes into recovery and brings up the file again. When I installed 7.1 and got it up to -stable, used rsnapshot to backup /usr /var and others to a 'day0' in case there was trouble. Well, with OpenOffice being so vital in our business, I thought it a good try to put everything back to 'day0' with /usr and /var. Downloaded the package from the goodday ftp site and pkg_add'ed it. Same thing with the crashing. If i create a new spreadsheet I can insert values or formulas without problem. Save the spreadsheet, no problem. Open the newly created spreadsheet and then click on any cell to edit it, and it crashes. Please get back to me. -- Regards, +=+=+=+=+=+=+=+=+=+=+=+=+=+=+=+=+=+=+=+=+=+=+= Lanny Baron Freedom Technologies Corporation High Performance Servers and RAID Systems Toll Free: 1.877.963.1900 http://www.freedomtc.com +=+=+=+=+=+=+=+=+=+=+=+=+=+=+=+=+=+=+=+=+=+=+= From owner-freebsd-openoffice@FreeBSD.ORG Fri Jan 30 01:21:14 2009 Return-Path: Delivered-To: openoffice@freebsd.org Received: from mx1.freebsd.org (mx1.freebsd.org [IPv6:2001:4f8:fff6::34]) by hub.freebsd.org (Postfix) with ESMTP id D64FB106568A; Fri, 30 Jan 2009 01:21:14 +0000 (UTC) (envelope-from maho.nakata@gmail.com) Received: from wf-out-1314.google.com (wf-out-1314.google.com [209.85.200.172]) by mx1.freebsd.org (Postfix) with ESMTP id 9B54E8FC14; Fri, 30 Jan 2009 01:21:14 +0000 (UTC) (envelope-from maho.nakata@gmail.com) Received: by wf-out-1314.google.com with SMTP id 24so215572wfg.7 for ; Thu, 29 Jan 2009 17:21:14 -0800 (PST) DKIM-Signature: v=1; a=rsa-sha256; c=relaxed/relaxed; d=gmail.com; s=gamma; h=domainkey-signature:received:received:sender:date:message-id:to:cc :subject:from:in-reply-to:references:x-mailer:mime-version :content-type:content-transfer-encoding; bh=4EowZYnwOG2ELSYNPTCcDThkUhrqaTMVNyyrtIcKhvA=; b=WTGPfnzshUMTJVhMmgh6LzTVcJLReVqRwUC6Y4FT92+oqr/DfBNlr0axczlAZwpHNR L9deG7y29af8k5CeDW/91peNzMYaEMasbCW7jDT2AuVJEFawgYgdXOdDppctMC/NFcFk 8wafgurg8xAhddgaIlLrQ22oryZ58hA8MNj30= DomainKey-Signature: a=rsa-sha1; c=nofws; d=gmail.com; s=gamma; h=sender:date:message-id:to:cc:subject:from:in-reply-to:references :x-mailer:mime-version:content-type:content-transfer-encoding; b=qUkr3UsZBondAQdbpAKl42iXZBjzJY90K1mYT/1GFS7GhGZoxYdUoDhXQJlLTbXRt7 oPLwtxAHpvl8lvPQkQywZQeJER19iVtGmDO1+143j3a0uAXpc7kg2vN0OLUSyaM0SIgp wQ2yXtJ7b5EgntSHBiKNwa4UAKsc5IUzSxDfE= Received: by 10.142.132.2 with SMTP id f2mr238091wfd.216.1233278474353; Thu, 29 Jan 2009 17:21:14 -0800 (PST) Received: from localhost (rikad85.riken.jp [134.160.214.85]) by mx.google.com with ESMTPS id 30sm470560wfc.35.2009.01.29.17.21.12 (version=SSLv3 cipher=RC4-MD5); Thu, 29 Jan 2009 17:21:13 -0800 (PST) Sender: Maho NAKATA Date: Fri, 30 Jan 2009 10:20:41 +0900 (JST) Message-Id: <20090130.102041.214150990.chat95@mac.com> To: sebastiansetzer@alice-dsl.net From: Maho NAKATA In-Reply-To: <67CE2BFC0C158B4C96BC1229798DE50F01FA51F6@HSNMST02V05.hsn.alice-dsl.net> References: <67CE2BFC0C158B4C96BC1229798DE50F01FA51F5@HSNMST02V05.hsn.alice-dsl.net> <67CE2BFC0C158B4C96BC1229798DE50F01FA51F6@HSNMST02V05.hsn.alice-dsl.net> X-Mailer: Mew version 6.2 on Emacs 22.3 / Mule 5.0 (SAKAKI) Mime-Version: 1.0 Content-Type: Text/Plain; charset=us-ascii Content-Transfer-Encoding: 7bit Cc: kurt.buff@gmail.com, freebsd-questions@freebsd.org, openoffice@freebsd.org Subject: Re: OpenOffice 3.0, which java must I use? This operation and just about everything else (except for the notorious unopkg bug) run well (this morning's cvsup of the ports tree with OO3m9, editors/openoffice.org-3 port, on i386 7.1-STABLE world updated in the last week, the great xorg move in the last few days etc.) It could take more time to figure out how to get a binary install working than it will to build it from ports.
