I have a P90 with a Cirrus Logic 5434 (Alpine Series) 2 Meg video card... every thing works fine until I end my xdm session (log out all open xterms and try to return to the username / password box) and then the card spasms and displays about a quarter of a screen of crud. The machine then locks up for a while but eventually something works out that there is a problem and xdm gets completely restarted... Another slighty strange thing I have noticed is that the very top left most few bytes of the screen are always black (I would guess about 8 pixels), if I move a window over the area the pixels remain black... weird huh ? Any suggestions appreciated... Regards, James V. vaughton@unixa.lgu.ac.uk
