Since the late '80s the term "WYSIWYG" has implied a graphical bitmapped display, proportional fonts, accurate scaling and so on, none of which is provided by a VT102 terminal. There are alternatives to ee, for example emacs, nano & jed, but none of them are WYSIWYG (and neither is ee).
