And what does /usr/bin/file say about it?  Is there any chance its a 32 
bit binary or a linux binary and you don't have the kernel support 
present (or the 32 bit libraries and ld-elf32.so.1?).  Anyway, its a 
shot in the dark, but please check. :-)
