Yes, though ps(1) and maybe some others wouldn't like it much.

But I'm very soon now going to make linprocfs depend on the Linux
module, partly to settle this issue :) and partly so it has access to
the compat.linux sysctls (which it needs to produce a meaningful
proc/version).
