I've recently upgraded to FreeBSD 2.0.5, and i have the device /dev/mixer, yet it says it can't open it. permissions are set to be world read/write, on both /dev/mixer and /dev/cd0* considering i have no music, this sucks :( on Freebsd 2.0, even if i didnt run xmix, xcdplayer would spit out sound, but on freebsd 2.0.5, teh cd player is silent. no matter what. help!!
