There is no informations about rsync on this page You appear to be correct. Sounds like you should submit a problem report on the documentation. And, of course, if and when you get it running, you could submit another problem report with patches to fix the documentation. You might want to start with the freebsd-hubs mailing list; I believe there *are* people using rsync to mirror the FreeBSD collections, and that is where they would probably discuss it. rsync may not be as efficient in network bandwidth as cvsup, but a lot of people either can't get cvsup through particularly restrictive firewalls or just haven't gotten around to updating it.
