This is a multi-part message in MIME format. ------=_NextPart_000_0007_01BF3A85.7D38D080 Content-Type: text/plain; charset="iso-8859-1" Content-Transfer-Encoding: quoted-printable Sorry if my questions are lame its just that im still getting used to FreeBSD. I am currently running FreeBSD 3.2 with 2 nics. (Netgear FA310TX PCI cards). These seem to work fine; although i dont use one of them. On my main device (de0) i can connect over my lan via that nic card to telnet into my machine. However, when i switch my CAT5 cable to my other ethernet card (de1) and try to connect via telnet to it i get an error message on the FreeBSD box and a time out on the client. This is the error message i get: /kernel: /arp: 192.168.0.3 is on de0 but got reply from = 00:40:05:a3:38:a4 on de1 192.168.0.3 is the client as well as the default router for the FreeBSD = machine. I think this message has something to do witht the subnet mask of the = nics. 192.168.0.1->de0 ip address 192.168.0.2->de1 ip address the net mask is set to 255.255.255.0 on both of the nic cards. please help me with that. I also need help with getting the apache web server to start = automatically when i boot up the computer. i think i have to edit something in = /etc/rc.(something) But please help me with that. Thank you in advance, nat ------=_NextPart_000_0007_01BF3A85.7D38D080 Content-Type: text/html; charset="iso-8859-1" Content-Transfer-Encoding: quoted-printable <!DOCTYPE HTML PUBLIC "-//W3C//DTD HTML 4.0 Transitional//EN"> <HTML><HEAD> <META content=3D"text/html; charset=3Diso-8859-1" = http-equiv=3DContent-Type> <META content=3D"MSHTML 5.00.2722.2800" name=3DGENERATOR> <STYLE></STYLE> </HEAD> <BODY bgColor=3D#ffffff> <DIV><FONT size=3D2>Sorry if my questions are lame its just that im = still getting=20 used</FONT></DIV> <DIV><FONT size=3D2>to FreeBSD.</FONT></DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV><FONT size=3D2>I am currently running FreeBSD 3.2 with 2 nics. = (Netgear=20 FA310TX</FONT></DIV> <DIV><FONT size=3D2>PCI cards).
