In addition to PPPoE problems, my ISP (Sympatico) is having mail server problems. I think they are also on the MAPS RBL list too. This is the third time i've sent this message, as I don't think it made it through the first time. If this message shows up multiple times, please accept my apologies. With that said: I seem to be having problems establishing a connection to my ISP via PPPoE and was wondering (actually hoping) if anyone had any suggestions. My setup is as follows: FreeBSD version: 3.3-Stable (1999-11-16) PPP version: 1999-11-25 I'm using files from /sys/netgraph/* AND /sys/net/if_ethersubr.c from around 1999-11-27 below is the contents of /var/log/ppp.log (my real password & User id have been altered) To me it looks as though I get succesfuly authenticated by the ISP's server, but the whole thing fails in the next step when I get passed a host name (maybe it expects a IP address?) Any ideas would be appreciated. Mark.
