If you read the man page carefully, you'll see that "undelete" only
undelete's files that have been undeleted in a union fs. The union fs
man page says that it isn't safe, and is currently unsupported. It
also implies that whiteouts are used for removing and renaming files
in lower layers of the union, meaning they aren't really gone, they're
just not visible in the union.
