FreeBSD's client-side IGMP has been v2 since release 2.1.0 .
If FreeBSD is being used as the router, then it's mrouted's
IGMP implementation that you're worried about, which has
been v2 since mrouted version 3.0 .

Both the client and the router have to speak IGMPv2 for fast
leave to work, so it sounds pretty likely that your client is
speaking IGMPv1.
