I had same problem cause I had a second hdd attached on the IDE-Bus but
without energy connected. When I boot of the other Ide-disk it says UDMA
ICRC ... errors. I detached the old disk from the ide-bus and everything
works fine. But I must say mostly this error is a HDD or cable failure.
