De syntax of hosts.allow is very clear and that is not my problem. I knew
how to implement earlier releases of tcp_wrapper that operated in the
old style. My point I'm trying to make is : I was looking for hints and
tips on how to use the new-style tcp-wrappers and found the example config
file in the ports collection. Although, after having a short chat with a
collegue, I got it to work I think this example legacy file is confusing
and should be changed and/or removed.

But maybe I'm making the problem harder that it actually is.

Cheers,

a.
