That should be GCC (since about 2000 ;-).

You make me curious: Do you happen to have any results with 
USE_GCC=6+ (or even USE_GCC=5+)?

I'll try to get lang/gcc and USE_GCC=yes moved to GCC 5 in the 
coming month(s) and am wondering to what extent that might help
further.
