You dont have to wrap uniformly for all services. You would do this only
for sendmail.
e.g. in your /etc/hosts.allow
sendmail : .evil.cracker.example.com : deny
sendmail : .ipt.aol.com : deny

There is generally no reason those dialup customers would want to / need to
speak directly to your mail server.
