When do you intend to "throw the switch" in bringing egcs in by
default?  A lot of people are asking and perhaps a bit of an advance
schedule wouldn't hurt at this point, if for no other reason than that
people wouldn't be able to scream (with any justification) about the
transition, when it happens, taking them by total surprise. :-)
