  One last vestige of /dev/wd* that I use is for VMWare.  The wd0 driver
isn't anywhere in kernel but supplying wd0 as the link to
/compat/linux/dev/hda makes the whole thing usable.  Is it somehow
impure to merge the IOCTL functionality of wd* into ad* (as I beleive
this is why wd* can let VMWare recognise the disk, I can search back in
-emulators for the name of the IOCTL).
