Sorry about taking all day to get back to you, but it's been hectic, again. Ok, I've installed the patch and booted back into the 4.0-RELEASE GENERIC kernel. Everything looks good so far, but I'll leave the machine running GENERIC overnight and see if anything develops. I think I wasn't clear enough in my original report -- I'm not seeing this problem with the custon kernel I'm normally using, which has no IPv6 support, so I personally am not too bothered about getting an immediate fix, although I expect that someone out there will probably be grateful.
