>Organization:
The Internet Solution
>Environment:

Out the box Dell 2400 with 2 x PIII 500MHz

>Description:

Trying to boot an SMP kernel hangs half way. Tweaking the SMP settings
in the kernel has no effect. I believe the problem is due to the
unsupported Reliance chipset. I have tried 3.3-STABLE, 3.4-RELEASE and
4-20000127. The output of a non-SMP dmesg is below, note the pci not
being picked up correctly.

>How-To-Repeat:

Compile an SMP kernel direct from GENERIC with NAPIC=2(gives an error
otherwise saying set this to 2 from the default of 1).

>Fix:

Dont use SMP and use a single processor only.
