Sure, this works. However, what if the new disk happens to be the 5th disk (the floppy kernel only supports sd1-sd4) and the installer doesn't want to temporarily remove one of the disks? This could be done in 2.0 - and it's gotta be possible in 2.0.5, it just does not appear to be documented very well.
