Decoding on encoding someway corrupt memory:

(dbx) up
rfc1522_decode_word:1437  base64_decode (&state_in,state, strlen (encoded), TRUE);
(dbx) print *state
struct out_state {
    magic = 64258
    displaying = 0
    prefix = (nil)
    filter = 0x47adec
    u = union {
        file = struct {
            fpout = 0x7fff09b4
        }
        string = struct {
            outbuf = 0x7fff09b4 = "[inet-admins] ["
            outwritep = 0x7fff09c3 = ""
            outbufsize = 2560
        }
    }
}
(dbx) down
base64_decode: 160  state_putc(ch,s_out);
(dbx) print *s_out
<no such address>
(dbx) down
state_putc: 569  switch(s->magic) {
(dbx) print *s
<no such address>
