Well, if someone (i.e. not me, I don't have time) can come up with a fix
for it, I can roll it in with the rest of the PCI changes I have queued up
waiting for a repository copy... (hint hint)

Or I can just commit them, and then we can fix this problem once someone
figures out what the problem is.  The changes I have don't really touch the
register reading/writing stuff, other than moving the header file.
