It should, according to all reports.  I haven't ever run a PII with
IDE, but I'm running a lot of Pentiums with Ultra DMA and 2.2.X (where
X range quite a bit), and it works fine (except the ultra DMA isn't
used).  The devices get probed and found on the ISA bus.
