Is this intentional, or just an oversight?

The third argument to ioctl is traditionally named char *argp. Most
uses
of ioctl in FreeBSD 3.0 however, require the third argument to be a
     caddr_t or an int.

Should the 3.0 be updated, to 4.6, or just removed all together? Or perhaps
rewritten to something like this

"Most uses of ioctl since FreeBSD 3.0 require ....."
