Unfortunately, I think I will have to drop maintainership. Work and family
has been keeping me extremely busy and I have not had a chance to
work on fixing the machine I use for development. I apologize for the
inconvenience, but at this time I'm not able to dedicate the time needed
 for this port maintenance.

It's possible 4.1.3 addresses some of the open bug reports both for building
and/or runtime issues. It may be worth trying the 4.1.3-based source first
to see if it builds properly. Unfortunately, I can only try to see if
 it builds on
7.1-PRERELEASE/amd64 and not other releases. I'll see if I can do that
sometime this week and report here if I have success.

As for a VNC alternative, there is NX, but last I checked it also is unavailable
on amd64. If you have a real X display, you can use the net/x11vnc port
which I've found works fine, but is slower than the VNC 4 based solution.

 Thanks,
 Josh
