Heartened by the claims of OSS (http://www.opensound.com/) that the SB live support is almost good to go I decided to give it a try. Undaunted by the web page's announcement that OSS has dropped support for FreeBSD 4.0, I decided to try it anyway. Sadly, it didn't work, the soundconf program was unable to load the kld. I've already mailed a polite letter to OSS, but I'm wondering if someone might have had success in getting it to work.
