I have one of these:

port 2 addr 3: full speed, power 500 mA, config 1, Novatel Wireless HSUPA Modem(0x5010), Novatel Wireless(0x1410), rev 0.00

usbdevs claims it's a NOVATEL ZEROCD, but the labelling on the
device claims it's an MC950D by Ovation. (NRM-MC950D if the label
is to be believed).

I added, the following to u3g.c:

        {{ USB_VENDOR_NOVATEL, USB_PRODUCT_NOVATEL_ZEROCD },	U3GFL_NONE },

and the boot message now reports the following with no ucom though:

u3gstub0: <Novatel Wireless Novatel Wireless HSUPA Modem, class 0/0, rev 1.10/0.00, addr 3> on uhub3
