Nice consolidation work.

For someone not closely familiar with the GNU universe (which is quite 
possible, in particular in a FreeBSD context) "info documentation" may
feel a bit weird, as in "of course documentation is information".

How about making this "documentation in GNU info format" (or a variation
thereof)?

This one suffers from the consolidation; may I suggest to keep the
original INFO_DESC in this one case?

Gerald, who contributed support for INFO= eons ago :)
