Hi, I was installing FreeBSD 3.1 from a DOS partition the other day, and had put the files I downloaded in C:\freebsd - only to find that the installation program wouldn't detect them. The problem was that your handbook says put everything in a directory named "FREEBSD" whereas the instatllation program's default for the DOS directory is "3.1-RELEASE". You may want to revise the Handbook in this regard :) Cheers, Stewart Heckenberg To Unsubscribe: send mail to majordomo@FreeBSD.org with "unsubscribe freebsd-bugs" in the body of the message
